Single and Small Combination Baby Vaccines

By choosing to have single and small combination vaccinations at samedaydoctorTM you can be sure your child is in safe hands. Our baby vaccination clinics are led by Dr Richard Halvorsen - founder of BabyJabs (www.BabyJabs.co.uk) and an experienced GP.

Dr Richard Halvorsen has over 20 years' experience as an NHS GP and has developed a keen interest in childhood immunisations, having published books and broadcast extensively on the subject.

He started to offer Mercury Free vaccines to his NHS patients before they became widely available. He also offered single Measles, Mumps and Rubella vaccines as an alternative to MMR for many years. In response to parental demand, he launched BabyJabs, a children's immunisation service that offers parents a comprehensive choice of single and small combination vaccines, as free from additives as possible.

Dr Halvorsen has now brought this expertise to babyjabs@samedaydoctorTM to provide parents with convenient access to single and small combination vaccines. Please also see his website www.babyjabs.co.uk for information regarding Single Measles and Rubella vaccines.

A consultation with Dr Halvorsen costs £150. Single Measles and Rubella vaccines are £120 each and blood tests for Measles Mumps and Rubella immunity are £125

Tailored Advice

With so much conflicting information in the media about baby immunisations and the benefits and risks of combination children's and baby vaccinations, including MMR jabs, parents are finding it increasingly difficult to make an informed decision about their child’s vaccination programme. You might not be sure if your child requires immunisations against all ten diseases as recommended by the Department of Health, or perhaps you have a specific reason to vaccinate against an illness not currently seen as a threat by health providers in the UK.

If you've decided which vaccines you'd like your baby or child to receive, you might still be confused about when these vaccinations should be given. It's true that the earlier you have your baby vaccinated, the sooner your baby will be protected; however, it's also true that babies’ immune systems mature, so the longer you wait to immunise the slimmer the chance your child will develop an allergic disease like asthma.

Whatever your reason for seeking individualised advice about children's or baby immunisations, you can rest assured babyjabs@samedaydoctorTM can help take the confusion out of what might seem an immeasurable pile of options, and help you decide on a personalised immunisation programme for your child.

Single and Small Combination Baby Vaccines

  • Diphtheria, Tetanus
  • Polio, Hib, Meningitis
  • Pneumococcus, Chicken Pox
  • Pertussis (Whooping Cough)
  • Rotavirus, Hepatitis B

Your child's health is of paramount importance. While you want to make sure your little one is protected from diseases, many parents have serious doubts about MMR jabs. Parents who do have doubts have likely been told that the Single Measles Vaccine, which is currently in very high demand in the UK, is unavailable under traditional circumstances at the NHS.

BabyJabs@samedaydoctorTM recognises these concerns, and is offering single baby vaccines, including the Single Measles Vaccine, as a convenient alternative to the MMR vaccination to protect your child against Measles, Rubella, and other diseases.

Contrary to common assumption, baby immunisations do not have to be given in line with the current UK immunisation schedule promoted by the Department of Health. Every European country has its own recommended vaccination schedule. Some countries recommend vaccines at 3, 5, and 12 months. Currently in the UK, baby vaccines are normally given when the child is 2, 3, and 4 months of age.

BabyJabs and samedaydoctorTM are empowering parents to decide on the most appropriate vaccination programme for their children.

How do single vaccinations differ from MMR jabs?

MMR vaccines are a three-in-one vaccination against Measles, Mumps and Rubella. However, serious concerns over the safety of these vaccines have been raised and many parents do not wish their children to receive MMR jabs.

Single vaccines, including the frequently sought after Single Measles Vaccine, are as safe or safer than the MMR, and don’t come with the negative reputation often attributed to the MMR jabs. And importantly, the single Measles and Rubella vaccines offered by BabyJabs have fewer side effects than the MMR.

There is no alternative to the MMR baby vaccinations available on the NHS so parents are often forced to choose between having the MMR jabs or not having their child immunised at all. We offer a safe alternative by providing the Single Measles and Rubella vaccines. The Single Mumps Vaccine is currently unavailable.

Are single vaccinations safe?

Single and small combination baby vaccines have been used for many years, in most cases for longer than the combination vaccines offered on the NHS. They are manufactured by large reputable pharmaceutical companies and fully tested for safety and effectiveness. The wide choice available at BabyJabs@samedaydoctorTM allows doctors and parents to make sure children only receive the immunisations the parents wish them to have.

Antibody Blood Tests

Two doses of MMR vaccine are given on the NHS. However, the second dose is not a 'booster', but a second chance for the child to be protected in case one or more components of the first vaccine did not work. This results in many children receiving a second MMR injection when they don't really need it. At BabyJabs parents can decide whether to proceed with an immunity blood test after the first round of single vaccines, in order to test whether the child is protected and thus whether further vaccines are required.

Whilst antibody blood tests cannot guarantee that your child will not become infected by a particular illness, they do give a good indication as to whether your child is protected against immunisable infections like Measles and Rubella. Dr Halvorsen and the BabyJabs team have negotiated special rates for antibody blood tests (£75 for each single Measles, Mumps or Rubella test or £125 for all three Measles, Mumps and Rubella immunity testing), which are conveniently carried out at a laboratory located just a 5-minute walk from our clinic on Wimpole Street in Central London.
