Sameday Doctor Offers Efficient HIV Tests, STD Tests and Chlamydia Tests

Sexual Health Clinic

The SameDay Doctor service offers a private Sexual Health clinic. Included in our range of services is a full STD test that includes an HIV test and chlamydia test as well as many others. The early diagnosis of a sexually transmitted disease allows for earlier treatment of any positive results. An STD test can be done without swabs so no umbrella test is necessary – all STD tests can be done with a urine or blood sample.

STD Test

A full STD test includes a blood test to screen for HIV, Hepatitis B, and Syphilis. Urine or swab tests are also taken in order to test for a range of other sexually transmitted diseases including a chlamydia test. An examination enables us to check for genital warts and we can also provide an chlamydia test for women if needed. As well as general sexual health screening using STD tests we also offer more specific tests under certain circumstances. 

HIV Test

There are numerous HIV tests that can be carried out using various techniques and at certain stages following the possible contraction of the disease. Many of the HIV test techniques offer virtually instant results and with the latest INSTi HIV test you can have the results in just one minute. The proviral DNA HIV test can be carried out successfully 10 to 14 days after contact while the standard DUO HIV test can be conducted 28 days after contact.

Chlamydia Test

Chlamydia Tests for women can be carried out immediately on request with test results provided following the test itself. A chlamydia test can be conducted using a urine sample and does not require swabs although these options also exist. If you believe you are at risk of contracting chlamydia then we recommend that you have another chlamydia test in several weeks because it may not present immediately after you contract the virus. A chlamydia test is included as part of our general STD test.

Urine Tests

One of the biggest concerns when visiting a sexual health clinic is how an STD test is conducted and fear of the testing procedure is one of the biggest reasons that people avoid the test in the first place. However, an STD test can usually be done using a urine sample and/or blood sample taken while at the clinic. While swabs and screening may be conducted in specific circumstances or on request you can consult with one of our trained health practitioners to determine the most suitable STD test for your needs whether it be an HIV test or a chlamydia test.

Other STDs That Are Tested

As well as an HIV test and a chlamydia test, our STD test procedure can be used to identify many other sexually transmitted diseases.
